MANTI NATIVE TO BE BURIED AT GUNNISON
Funeral services for Clarice Bench Larson, 78, will be held Thurday, September 1, at 1 p.m., in the Gunnison Chapel. Mr. Larson died Saturday at 11:45 a.m. at her home after a short illness.
She was born October 4, 1888, in Manti, to George Edwards and Jane Horton Bench. She was married to Joseph Arthur Larson, September 7, 1905, in the Manti Temple and he died in 1935.
She attended schools in Manti and taught school in Centerfield in 1903. She was an active member of the LDS Church.
Survivors include three sons and two daughter, Rulon Larson, Spring Valley, California; Devon Larson, Madison, Wisconsin; Lamar Larson, Miss LaVyrle Larson and Mrs. Irvin (Beatrice) Squire, all of Gunnison; 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Farnk (Ella) Cox and Mrs. Fred (Jennie) Cox, both of Manti.
Burial will be in the Gunnison City Cemetery.
