Jessie S. Huddleston, age 81, one of Putnam County's best known Citizens,
died Friday at his home in Rock Springs Valley in the 11th Civil District,
where he was born and reared and resided all of his life.
He was engaged in farming all of his life. He was a member of the Methodist
Church. He was never married.
He is survived by one sister, Mrs. J. A. Carlen, of this city, and by a
large number of nieces and nephews and many other relatives in this county.
Funeral services were conducted Saturday afternoon by the Rev. Roy Angel,
pastor of the Rock Springs Methodist Church, and burial took place in the
family cemetery.

Uncle Jesse Huddleston Died At His Home Near Here Friday Afternoon:
He had spent his entire life in the Rock Springs neighborhood. He was 81
years old December 1st, unmarried. He had made his home with his brother, I.
A. Huddleston and family. Rev. Roy D. Angel, pastor of the Rock Springs
Methodist Church of which Uncle Jesse was a member, conducted the funeral
Saturday afternoon. Interment was in the church cemetery.
