Funeral services were held Monday morning, September 24, at the Mount Olivet Chapel in Fort Worth. Burial was made in Mount Olivet Cemetery by Mount Olivet Funeral Home of Fort Worth. Mrs. Chapman was born in Paris on February 7, 1930, daughter of B. F. Cheatwood and Leona Milson Cheatwood. She had been employed at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 25 years. Survivors include her mother of Powderly; a daughter, Miss Deborah Chapman of Fort Worth; a step-daughter, Miss Linda Thomas of Burleson; a brother, Bobby Joe Cheatwood of Crowley; four sisters, Mrs. Don Hall of Dallas, Mrs. Dennis Helm of Fort Worth, Mrs. Ronnie Avery of Beaumont and Mrs. Jim Futch of Clyde; and a granddaughter, Shauna Thomas of Burleson'.
