Mrs. Jessie E. Anderson, age 92, of 52 McCauley Lane, died Saturday, May 20, 2006, at her daughter's home.
Born in Pickens County, a daughter of the late William H. Earle and Queen Elizabeth Williams Earle, and wife of the late Ralise W. Anderson, she was a member of the Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church, Travelers Rest.
She is survived by four daughters, Minnie Lee O'Neal, Betty L. Shamley, Ruth Duck and Mary R. (Robert) Duck, all of Travelers Rest; a sister, Betty Q. (Grady Sr.) Brooks of Travelers Rest; 13 grandchildren, three reared in the home, Talmadge Allmond, Debbie Robertson and Barbara Foster; nine great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; an aunt, Jerdie Walker of Marietta; two adopted daughters, Minnie Cruell and Joyce Bailey, an adopted son, John T. Bailey, all of Travelers Rest; and a daughter-in-law, Hattie Earle of Fountain Inn.
Funeral service will be held today, 2 p.m. at the Mountain Grove Missionary Baptist Church, with Rev. J.D. McGowens officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family is at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert D. Duck, 56 McCauley Lane, Travelers Rest.
