JACOB M. DIVINE

Jacob M. Divine, son of John and Anna Bell Divine was born December 26, 1854, and has resided in the Walkerton community during his lifetime. At eight o'clock on Wednesday morning, January 2, 1935, he completed his earthly life at the age of seventy years and seven days.

He was married twice, first to Lucrecia Inman in 1876, who died in September 1886; then in 1891 to Jennie Everly who died in September 1933.

Since the death of his second wife he has had a home with his sister, Mrs. Amanda Robinson, Walkerton, until the day of his death.

He leaves three children, Mrs. Hulda Robinson, Walkerton; W.C. Divine, Mishawaka; and C. J. Divine of Jefferson, Ohio; also a sister, Mrs. Robinson; fifteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

His church membership was with the Teegarden United Brethren church.

Funeral services were held in the United Brethren church at Walkerton Saturday morning, Jan. 5, 1935, at ten o'clock, conducted by the pastor, Rev. J.W. Burkert. Burial was in the Walkerton cemetery.
