Web Cox, 55 years old, of Salem, died of a crushed skull and broken neck last night in the office of Dr. Jesse Benz of Morengo, after an automobile wreck near Temple. Arthur Andrew, owner of the car, and his brother Paul, both of near Alton, are being held here by officers investigating the crash.
* Note: On his headstone and on his death certificate George Welby Cox's date of birth is given as 2 March 1879. On all other records, census and WW.I Registration his date of birth is 2 March 1883. He was always 9-11 years older than his wife on census records.
