Lucy Jane [Williams] Boulton was born March 10, 1849, Smith Co., TN, the daughter of Evan J. Williams and wife Harriet [Whitley] Williams. Lucy was nicknamed "Bird" or "Birdie" as a girl, which carried on throughout her life. Lucy married Napoleon Bonaparte Boulton in Smith Co. on March 4, 1864. The marriage was performed by Lucy's Great Uncle, Justice of the Peace William B. Whitley. The family soon moved to Wilson Co., TN. They raised 13 children. Lucy was widowed in 1924. She was visiting her granddaughter in Chicago, Illinois, where she died on September 16, 1936. Lucy's body was brought back to Lebanon, and buried at the Cedar Grove Cemetery.
