BAHRET

Karl Andrew Bahret was born in Benningen, Wurtemberg, Germany, Nov. 18, 1858. He died at Bucks Grove, KS, Dec. 10, 1921, aged 63 yrs and 22 days. He was converted at the age of 14 years and united with the Evangelican Association at Benningen.
He served the Army at Ludwigsburg?, Germany for two years and immediately afterward came to America with his parents in 1880.
He was united in marriage to Margaret Kinkel Oct. 28, 1884 at Holton, KS. To this union were born nine children, all of whom with the beloved companion, survive him. The children are Katie Eaton of Hoyt; Elsie McMullen of Havensville; Nannie Vyzourek of Beardsley; Helen Loughmiller of Havensville; Carland Albert Bahret, of Beardsley; Marie, Margaret and Emma Bahret of Soldier. He also leaves four grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers, besides other relatives and friends.
He united with the Methodist Episcopal church at Bucks Grove about 20 years ago during the pastorate of Rev. I.L. Oakes. Mr Bahret was an affectionate father, a devoted husband, and a kind neighbor.
The funeral services were held in the Bucks Grove church Monday afternoon, Dec. 12, conducted by Rev. J. Wykert of Soldier Valley, assisted by Rev. G.G. Garretson of Havensville. The remains were interred in the family lot in the Bucks Grove cemetery.
The pall bearers were Charles Kroth, Frank Kroth, Sam Bottom, Tom Bottom, Fred Berman, and Fred Franz. The music was furnished by Mabel Kroth, Ina clemens, Florence Clements, Walter Kroth, and Arthur Venneberg.
