Perry Snow Black, 78, a retired engineer for the Rio Grande Railroad, died 24 October 24 in St. Mary's Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

He was born 27 May 1895 to Miller Snow Black and Susan Julia Sherman Black on 27 May 1895 at Huntington, Emery, Utah. He attended Huntington High. He married Mary Ella Mangum 19 November 1919 in Huntington, Utah. Prior to moving to Grand Junction he lived in Huntington and Helper.

Member of the Retired Railroad Employees Association, Elks Lodge. He served with the Army during World War I.

Survivors, widow, sons, Perry Blair, Denver; Jerry of Cortez; daughters, Mrs. Elaine Ford, Grand Junction; Mrs. AFton Filko, Orlando, Florida; Mrs. LaVerne Brady, Streamwood, Illinois; Mrs. Coleen Gower, Denver; brother LaVar, Huntington; sisters Meleta Brockbank, Huntington; Nora Kartchner, Price; 22 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held in Grand Junction with burial in Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Grand Junction.
