Nora Black Kartchner, age 92, died 28 January 1986 in Price. She was born 07 November 1893 in Huntington to Miller Snow and Susan Julia Sherman Black. She married Henry Zundle Kartchner on 05 December 1917 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. He died in 1965. She lived in Huntington most of her life prior to moving to Carbonville in 1958. She belonged to and loved, the ONO sewing club until she moved to Carbon County. She was a pround member of the Rimrock Camp of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. She has been active in the LDS church for over 60 years. She is remembered as a dear mother and a loving grandmother.

Survivors include, son LaMont H. Karchner, Price; daughter, Mrs. Wayne (Jean) Laws, Carbonville; sister Meleta Brockbank, Huntington; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday 31 January at 11 a.m. in the Price North Stake Center, 479 North 100 East, Price. Firends may call for viewing one hour prior to the services at the stake center. Interment will be in the Huntington City Cemetery.
