Mrs. Etta Martha Bogan was the mother to by wife, Linda. She was a pillar of their church who raised her sons and daughters in the admonition of the Lord Jesus Christ. In addition, a help-mate and a worker beside her husband in the church. She was born in Hazel Valley, Washington Co, Arkansas to Clarron Mac and Malissa Jane Guinn Bogan. Her father died in 1903 from Pneumonia when she was but six years of age. She married Ollie Tackett in Fayetteville, Arkansas on 13 Oct 1917. Together, they parented nine children; all survived her except two infant sons, Mack Lane Tackett and Hollis Carman Tackett. Those siblings of Etta who preceded her in death were Zillah Bogan House in 1927; Clara Bogan Wallin in 1948; Earl Lester Bogan in 1944; and James Charles Bogan in 1953. Those siblings who survived Etta were Corda Bogan Barker, Claud Bogan and Zada Pearl Bogan McKay. Thirteen grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren, besides many nieces and nephews, survived Mrs. Etta Tackett. -
