Rezin Thompson was my GGG Grandfather. He was married to Elizabeth Criswell in Fredericksburg, Ohio. They moved to Hicksville, Defiance County, Ohio. They had 9 children; Elizabeth, Harriet, Mary, Eleanor, James, Alfred, Reason Benjamin, Isabel and Alice. Although Rezin appears in several land contracts and marriage certificate his date of birth and date of death are unknown. He simply vanishes and Elizabaeth remarries Elijah Tracy and moves to Princeville, Illinois. I've found that many of the Thompsons who died anywhere near Ohio had themselves returned to Fredericksburg for burial. Based on that and the fact that no Rezin Thompson can be found in the Hicksville or Defiance area cemeteries I'm including this stone which IS from the Thompson Cemetery as that of Rezin Thompson, my GGG grandfather. It could be otherwise but I'd like to think it's him.
