In the 1920 census the family was living on 2nd Street in Eddyville, Wapello Co., IA. His birth date of 12 December 1853 is based on old decorative chart made by sister Lozina' s husband, Alonzo W. SHAFER, although the tombstone reads 1852. He delivered coal to Eddyville to the Electric Plant and to people's house.
