Percy Stanfield, 69, former mayor of Marshall, Ill., died at 11:15 P.M. Saturday at his residence in West Union.
Stanfield served as mayor of Marshall from 1945 to 1949. He also owned and operated a furniture store, an auto agency and a farm implement store in Marshall before moving to West Union.
His memberships included Marshall Masonic Lodge No. 133; Scottish Rite, Valley of Danville; and Zorah Shrine, Terre Haute.
Surviving are the widow, Thelma; two daughters, Patty at home and Mrs. Carol Halloran, West York, Ill; one son Donald, Lafayette, Ind.; one brother, Ova, Martinsville, Ill., and 6 grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 P.M. Tuesday at the Prust-Hosch Funeral Chapel. The Rev. J. Arnold Olsen officiated. Burial was in Marshall Cemetery.
