Funeral services for Adolph William Butt, 67, were held Tuesday, October 5, at the chapel of Solt Funeral Home in Central City [NE]. Mr. Butt died Friday, October 1, 1993 at Litzenberg Memorial County Hospital.
The 10:30 A.M. services were officiated by Cliff Cockburn with interment in the Central City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 to 9 P.M. Monday at the funeral home.
Music was provided by pianist Karla Person and vocalist Austin Person, Lindsay Person, November Person and Karla Person who sang "Trust His Heart" and "All Through the Day". Pallbearers were Linda Lux, Robert Kanter, Dale and Pat Carlson, Rich and Karla Person, Wayne and Carol Kanter, Mike and Debbie Reeves and Richard and Sally Scheck.
Mr. Butt was a blue rock shooter and was a member of the Central City Sportsman's Club and the National Rifle Association. He was a volunteer at the Merrick County Health and Fitness Center, volunteer at the Senior Center and had served on the board. He loved all sports, especially baseball and was known for attending all Legion games.
Survivors include three sisters, Katherine (Mrs. Clarence) Kanter of Palmer [NE], Ila Jean Scherer of Loveland CO, and Dorothy (Mrs. Bud) Irwin of Central City; several nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews and an honorary grandson.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
