ELIZABETH A WALSH MOUNT SAVAGE -- Elizabeth Arvada Bowers Walsh, 71, of Walsh Road, Mount Savage, died Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2001, at her residence.
Born Oct. 31, 1929, in Mount Savage, she was the daughter of the late Graham Samuel and Sarah Elizabeth (Winebrenner) Bowers. Mrs. Walsh was a homemaker. She was a member of the Mount Savage United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Walsh is survived by her husband of 51 years, Richard James "Dick" Walsh; one daughter, Lou Ann Shaffer and husband John "Bill", Mount Savage; one brother, William Mack Bowers and wife Dolores, Frostburg; a special friend, Marilyn Evans and husband Sam, Midlothian; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, and nephews.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg on Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be conducted at the funeral home on Friday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. George Harpold and Sister Joan Minella, S.S.N.D., officiating.
Interment will be in the Saint Patrick's Catholic Cemetery, Mount Savage.
Pallbearers will be Donnie Rice, Dale Weir, Bill Pratt, Carl "Brownie" Mulligan, Gerald "Bugs" Walsh, and Tom Winebrenner.
Memorials in honor of Mrs. Walsh may be directed to the W.M.H.S. Home Hospice Care, 3 North, 905 Seton Drive, Cumberland, MD 21502.
