John G. Boelts Dies At Salina Sanitarium -
Chapman, Neb. Sept 13 (Special) - John G. Boelts, former state legislator from Merrick county, died this morning at a sanitarium in Salina, Kas., where he had been receiving treatment for about two weeks.
Mr. Boelts had represented this county in the state legislature and also in the state Senate. He was a candidate for the unicameral legislature but was
defeated by John Knickrehm of Grand Island, for the nomination. He had never married, and resided on a farm north of Chapman. He was about 60 years of age, and had lived in Merrick county all his life.
A brother, Gus Boelts, and his wife left at once for Salina, to accompany the body here for burial. - G.I. Independent
Funeral services are to be held at the farm home at 1:30 p.m. Friday and at 2 o'clock at Central City Methodist church, Rev. J. Henry Stitt officiating.
Burial is to be made in Central City cemetery.
Mr. Boelts, who had never married is survived by his brother and three sisters, Mrs. Johanna Boelts, of St. Libory; Mrs. Kate Psleider of Denver and Mrs. Anna
Greer of Sheridan, Wyo.
