Booneville-----Travis David Pate Sr., 76, died Thursday, June 26, 2003, at his home in Booneville after a long illiness. He was the owner of Pate's Furniture, Appliance and Music Store in Booneville for more than 32 years. He was born in Smithville to Mr and Mrs. Melvin Pate. He was a World War 11 veteran and a member of Martin Hill Free Will Baptist Church. He enjoyed gardening, fishing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.

Serices will be at 1 p.m. today at Martin Hill Church, with Bro. Julian Mitchell and Bro. Ron Dale officiating. Burial will be in the Booneville Cemt. Salts Funeral Home of Booneville is in charge of the arrangement.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Jacqueline (Jackie) Cole Pate of Booneville; a son, David Pate Jr. of Booneville; a brother, William Pate; two grandchildren, Lindsey Pate and April Rinehart; a great-grandchild, Seth Floyd.

The body will lie in state at the church one hour before services.
