Mattie Josephine Bailey Pierce Miller, 84, of Pensacola, died Tuesday, January 17, 1989, in a local hospital. Mrs. Miller was a native and lifelong resident of Pensacola. She was a member of the Leonard St. Church of Christ, the Royal Neighbors of American, N.A.R.F.E 86, the Railroad Retirement Employee Association and the Over 55 Club. Survivors include: five daughters and three sons-in-laws, Elizabeth Baker, Winnie Anderson, Louise and Dewey E. Willis, M. Jean and Ed Courtney, Jackie and C. E. "Buck" Reid; a son, J. P. Pierce all of Pensacola; 17 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; two sisters, Lillian B. Wilson of Pensacola, Annie Mae Brill of Kingsland, Texas; a sister-in-law, Louise Bailey of Pensacola; many nieces and nephews. Burial will be in Beulah Cemetery
