MRS. JOHN GAMBILL DIES AT HOSPITAL

Services to Be Held at Church There Thursday Afternoon

Mrs. Susie N. Gambill, wife of John C. Gambill of Hopewell, died at her home about 8:30 o'clock Wednesday morning after an illness.

Last rites will be held Thursday afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Hopewell church, conducted by the Methodist minister, the Rev. R. E. Parker, and interment will be at Hopewell cemetery. Pallbearers will be O. B. Hughes, B. F. Love, Grover, Jess, Arthur and Cooper Darnell.

Mrs. Gambill is survived by her husband, four sons, and two daughters, Claud Gambill of Trinity; P. B. Lloyd and Horace Gambill and Mrs. Effie Smith of Hopewell and Mrs. Jenna Howell of Dallas. She leaves also a brother and a sister, Bud Ring of Chapel Hill, Tenn., and Mrs. Alice Thomas, Columbia, Tenn., besides 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Born in Tennessee, Mrs. Gambill who was 61 years old at the time of her death, came to Texas 40 years ago and had resided in Hopewell community 26 years.
