Elias Ennis was my Great Great Grandfather. His son Nathaniel was my Great Grandfather and Nathaniel's daughter, Lillian, was my Grandmother.

Elias is the s/o John Ennis and Christina Messersmith. Elias was b. 1827 in Fayette County, Indiana (according to LDS web site), he married Emily Rouse 8 Apr. 1854 Johnson Co., Indiana. His stone is long and rectangular and it's divided in 5 sections. #1 just says grandchildren infants, #2 grandchild Mary, #3 Emily(mother), #4 Elias (father) #5 William H (son). There are no dates on this stone.

~CHILDREN~
William Ennis was born in 1858 in Indiana. We haven't found the date of death as of yet. William is in the 1860/1870 census in Columbia. He was 2 yrs in 1860 and 13 yrs. old in the 1870 census'. He may have passed away after the 1870 census or married. As for Grandchild Mary, we are not sure but there was a child born to his son Nathaniel who passed at birth. We think this may be her. We are not 100% sure who the others are but Nathaniel had two other children who passed away under a year old. The mystery continues.....

~UPDATE~
We now believe that the Grandchild Mary on the headstone was their son Nathaniel's daughter who was stillborn. Also, the Grandchildren could be Nathaniel's two small children who passed away before a year old.
