Nicholas Rayko, 91 of Osceola Mills, died Friday in Decatur Township.

Born on Dec. 16, 1916, he was the son of the late Michael and Susan (Lucak) Rayko. He was a member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, Osceola Mills. He was a World War II Army Veteran and a member of the VFW Post 5020, Osceola Mills and the VFW, Indiana.

Mr. Rayko was a retired postal clerk for the Indiana Post Office.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Marie Kenna and Anna Solensky; and a brother, Michael Rayko. He is also survived by two nieces and five nephews.

A funeral service will be held on Tuesday at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church, Osceola Mills, with the Rev. Archimandrite Jacob Parula officiating. Interment will follow at the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 8 p.m. at the Heath Funeral Home, Osceola Mills.

Panikhide will be held at 7:30 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Military honors will be accorded by the Osceola Mills Honor Guard.
