Stephen LeRoy Tenley, son of Howard and Mildred Vernice Horne Tenley was born March 12, 1947, in Anamosa, Iowa. He attended Lincoln High School in Stanwood while growing up. On November 16, 1974, he was united in marriage to Marla Jean McCray in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. He was a laborer by trade.
