Francesco Samuel "Sam" Aiello, was the son of Francesco Aiello and Mariantonia Teresa Caterina Romano.

During World War II, he enlisted in the US Army as a Private in the Quarter Master Detachment, 1226th Service Command Service Unit, and was Honorably Discharged on 17 Dec 1942 at Fort Monmouth, Red Bank, Monmouth Co, NJ. He served in Africa.

He married Ella Lee Butler, daughter of James Butler and Dora Kivett, on 14 Mar 1943 at St John the Baptist RCC, Fairview, Bergen Co, NJ. Lee died on 28 Mar 1973.

Sam married Marian Carter Pike, the daughter of James G. Pike and Myrtle Carter, on 18 Nov 1974, in Liberty, Randolph Co, NC.

He was employed by the Orange and Black Bus Company in Fort Lee, Bergen Co, NJ and was a tour director for over 40 years. He retired in 1972 and in 1973 he became a permanent resident of Liberty, Randolph Co, NC.
