Francesco "Frank" Aiello, was born on 22 Feb 1885, in the parish of San Bernardo in Decollatura, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy, the only son of Saverio Aiello and Mariagrazia Scalzo.

Frank was a building contractor most of his life, living where the work took him and his family. From Danbury, Fairfield Co, CT to Baltimore, Baltimore Co, MD, to Hoboken, Hudson Co, NJ and finally to Fairview, Bergen Co, NJ and for a short time he owned a grocery store in Hoboken, Hudson Co, NJ.

Frank married Mariantonia Teresa Caterina Romano, the daughter of Vincenzo Romano and Filomena Correale, in Philadelphia, Philadelphia Co, PA on 27 Aug 1906, her father Vincenzo had to sign permission for the arranged marriage since she was a minor.

Frank and Catherine had eleven children: Mariagrazia 1 Dec 1907; Philomena 04 Jul 1909; Rosa Lucille 09 Jun 1911; Trisa 15 May 1913; Vincenzina 16 Oct 1914; Francesco Samuele 09 May 1916; Frederick 17 Mar 1918; Joseph Anthony 06 Sep 1919; Ida Anne 06 Feb 1921; Albert Louis 24 Jan 1923; Antonio Francesco 15 Jun 1924.

After Catherine's death on VJ Day 15 Aug 1945, Frank never remarried, dying almost thirty years later.
