He was a lifelong resident of Oakdale. He was a member of Yellow Pine Masonic Lodge and was a veteran of the U.S. Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Fern Howell Ford of Lake Charles; two sons, Len C. Ford of Lake Charles, and Gregory K. Ford of Alexandria; two sisters, Verone Dodd of Baton Rouge, and Doris Medley of Monroe; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
His funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Oct. 29, in Rush Funeral Home, downtown location. The Rev. Steve Laughlin will officiate. Burial will be in Oakdale Cemetery. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. today and from 8 a.m. Wednesday, in the funeral home.
