Parents were Solomon J. Mosher (Moshier), c 1800-1850, Oppenheim, Fulton, NY married Julia Ann Perry, and has a daughter, Happy Mosher, b: 1830 married Philo Monk, Happy and Philo are buried in Middle Sprite Cemetery. Solomon had 8 or 9 other children in addition to Happy

I believe Solomon's father's name was Nicholas b: c 1775 and found living with Solomon in the 1850 US Census, New York, Fulton, Oppenheim. I believe Solomon Mosher and his parents are those found in the book Descendants of Hugh Mosher and Rebecca Maxson Through Seven Generations, Rev. Ed., 1990, compiled by Mildred (Mosher) Chamberlain and Laura (McGaffey) Clarenbach. Solomon married (1) Clara Cross and (2) before 1828 Julia Ann Perry, b. Herkimer Co. NY 27 March 1808. This family is on pages 200-201. His father was also Solomon and is found on pages 80 & 81 ...

Michael ... I have a Solomon Mosher in my notes that came down from Rudolph Jucker. It has my Solomons parents listed as Nicholas Mosher and Unknown. It says my Solomon was born about 1761 in Dutches County, New York and died Apr 28 1874 in Oppenheim, Fulton, New York. It says nothing of the wife you speak about though. It also says that his father Nicholas was born abt 1740 in Dartmouth, Mass. I hope this helps you some.

Death: 28 APR 1847 in Oppenheim, Fulton County, New York

"Solomon Mosher died intestate in Oppenheim, Fulton County, NY and is buried in the Lotville cemetery, off the Lotville Rd. between Belden Corners and Barker Rds. He was married at least twice for his 1800 census indicates no wife and no children under ten, but later records show children born 1790-1800. The children were apparently being cared for elsewhere in 1800, and he was married again shortly after. In a deed of 1833 his wife was Johanna ____, who died April 18, 1842, age 76 trs, buried beside Solomon."

"He was missed in the 1790 census, but was probably living in MA and it was probably his son John Mosher who witnessed leases in Lee, Berkshire Co. November 6, 1800 for Job and David Hamlin (John's son Solomon was later to marry a Charlotte Hamblin). By 1800 Solomon was in that part of Palatine, Montgomery Co., NY that was later to become Oppenheim, Fulton Co. He owned land in Magin Patent 42 in Oppenheim andLot and Low Patent 28 in Stratford. Some he conveyed to Peter S., Joseph S. and Solomon, Jr."
