The following OBIT was printed: "1929 Jan 16 - Rockville Paper: On Jan. 11 Carolina Lindley of this place (Bloomingdale) passed away at her home. Short prayer service were conducted by Rev. Cosand, with songs by Mrs. VanVactor and Seland and Ochala Chapman. An obituary was read by a grandson by marriage. The funeral was at her home Sunday afternoon. After the home service she was taken to Rush Creek for service. The devotional reading and prayer were given by Albert Tomlinson. The singing was by a quartet from Bloomingdale composed of Mrs. Cosand, Mrs. Hester, Walter Chapman and Lewis Teague. The sermon was by Rev. Roy Towel of Indianapolis. Burial was in the Rush Creek cemetery by the side of her husband, William Lindley, who proceeded her four years."
