Thomas was born to William and Hannah(Buckingham)Farrens. He married Emma Elizabeth Kellogg on February 19,1896 in Hopkins, Missouri. He lived in Missouri until about 1910 according to the census when he was in Nebraska working on a ranch. It is there that he fell off a horse which caused injuries that he later died from.
