Miss Vina Eggers, daughter of J. E. and Ella Eggers was born May 9, 1911 near Lewellen and passed away October 12 at the Oshkosh Community hospital at the age of 56 years, five months and three days.

She attended the Lewellen schools and graduated with the class of 1930.

She was baptized in the Lewellen Methodist church and united with the church while in high school and remained a member until the time of her death.

In 1953 she moved with her father to Hershey and lived there two years, moving back to Lewellen in 1955. In 1960 she moved to Oshkosh where she resided until her death.

Her mother and one sister Alice, preceded her in death.

She leaves to mourn her passing, her father, J. E. Eggers of Oshkosh; one sister Mrs. William [editor: Vern] Dettman of Lewellen; one niece, Mrs. Adrian [editor: Patricia] Schipper of Ralston; 2 great-nieces and one great nephew, Pennie, Brenda and Dick Schipper, all of Ralston.

Services were held at the Methodist church in Lewellen Monday at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Leon Foster officiating.

Vocalists were Georgia Rittenhouse and Linda Cheney, accompanied by Mrs. Harold Burdick. Pallbearers were Merle Rittenhouse, Roy Rittenhouse, William Young, Dallas Rittenhouse, Leon C. Rittenhouse and Faye Young.

Burial was in Ash Hollow cemetery at Lewellen. Holechek Funeral home of Oshkosh in charge of arrangements.
