She was born in Missouri and came to Sheridan in 1910, living here until she and her husband homesteaded on land near Biddle. In 1936, Mr. and Mrs. Sams moved to Kennewick, Wash., where she made her home until she returned to Sheridan last November. Mr. Sams preceded her in death in 1938.
She is survived by four sons, Allen and Gilbert of Biddle, Leo of Wyarno and Elmer of Kennewick; one daughter, Mrs. Vere Duncan of Buffalo; three brothers, David Hanes of Hardin, and William Hanes of Kennewick; two sisters, Mrs. Nora Blane of Hawthorne, Calif., Mrs. Jake Adams of Kennewick; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Reed Mortuary are incomplete.
