Marjorie E. Harriman, 82, of Bridgeport passed away Friday, April 22, 2011, in the comfort of her own home. She was born April 21, 1929, in Bridgeport to Henry and Retha (Ping) Bousley. She married Charles "Chard" Perry in 1947, and he preceded her in death in 1960. She then married Richard Harriman in 1970, and he preceded her in death in 2003.

She graduated from Bridgeport Township High School, was a U.S. Postal Service mail carrier for Bridgeport, and taught quilting, gardening, and crafts for Frontier College. Along with her love for her family, quilting, gardening and crafts, she was also an avid mushroom hunter.

Marjorie is survived by three daughters, Nancy Wright of Lawrenceville, Shirley Perry of Bridgeport and Heidi Ewen and her husband, Len, of Oxford, Ohio; three sons, Alvin Perry of Bridgeport;, Leonard Perry and his wife, Linda, of Sumner and Richard E. Harriman and his wife, Marissa, of Houston; one brother, Phillip Bousley and his wife, Carol, of Vincennes; one sister, Lois Miller of Lawrenceville; one brother-in-law, Raymond Blackwell of Vincennes; two sisters-in-law, Jeannie Bousley of Bridgeport and Gloria Bousley of Evansville, Ind.; 12 grandchildren, Wayne Perry, Jodi Bond, Joni Whitaker, Troy Mobley, Brandon Mobley, Joel Perry, Marisa Moleres, Melissa Moleres, Mercedes Harriman, Richard Harriman III, Lottie Ewen and Peyton Ewen; three great-grandchildren, Harley Perry, Kailyn Perry, Breahna Mobley and Jesse Bond; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death also by her parents; one sister, Lillian Blackwell; and three brothers, Don, Mervin and Gene Bousley.

Funeral services for Marjorie E. Harriman will be held at 3 p.m. CDT on Monday at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport. Burial will follow at the Bridgeport Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 2 p.m. CDT until service time.



Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association or the United Methodist Church of Bridgeport with envelopes available at the funeral home.
