Charles R. Fontaine, son of William and Anne Morris Fontaine, was born at Beaverdam on 25 May 1805 and, like his brother John, lived there his entire life until his and his brother John's early deaths both in January 1827. Charles died at the age of 20. Based on the terms of his father's will, his inherited portion of the properties "Offla" and "Bridge Quarter" reverted to his living brothers.
