Peter Fourreau Fontaine, son of William and Anne Morris Fontaine, was born around 1793 at Beaverdam. Little is known about him, although he later inherited his father's 630-acre tract of land known as "Fishing Springs" several miles south of Beaverdam, although it is not known if he ever lived there. According to a letter written by one of his nieces in the 1860s, Peter went to Kentucky where he died between 1815 and 1820. He never married.
