Born on June, 16, 1906, at Big Horn, she married Bert L. Kay on June 16, 1930 in Gillette.
She was employed by Sheridan County School District No. 1 and No. 4 for 39 years and retired after 11 years teaching at the Wyoming Girls School.
Particularly active in 4-H and community homemaker activities, Mrs. Kay was a 4-H leader for 30 years and a past president of the local 4-H Council, the Sheridan County Homemakers council and the Hospital Auxiliary.
Surviving, in addition to the widower, are a son, Wallace Kay, Seattle, Wash.; two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Patricia) Smith, Casper, and Mrs. Joe (Arlene) Franch, Denver; a brother Leroy Sackett of Big Horn; a sister, Mabel Delzell, Sioux City, Iowa; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, at Champion Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Big Horn Cemetery. The body has been sent to Billings, Mont., for cremation.
Memorials for Mrs. Kay may be sent to Shrine Crippled Children's Hospital, in care of Van Wilson, Kalif Mosque; or to the Cancer Fund, in care of Rosemarie Madia, Bank of Commerce.
