Funeral services for Warren Wood DeJarnett, former Superintendent of Schools at Big Horn, will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Champion Funeral Home.
The Rev. Verne Robinson will officiate and interment will be in Big Horn Cemetery.
DeJarnett died Wednesday at the Sheridan County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born July 4, 1905, in Sedalia, Kan. He married Louise Supernaw May 28, 1933, in Ottawa, Kan. He was connected with the school system in Hamilton, Mo. for nine years, serving as a Superintendent of Schools for six years. He had resided in Big Horn for the past 42 years.
DeJarnett served as Superintendent of Schools at Big Horn for many years, retiring in 1971.
In addition to his teaching career he was also interested in ranching. He was an avid historian for the Big Horn area.
He graduated from Kansas University in 1934. He was a past patron of Friendship Chapter No. 51, Order of Eastern Star; a past president of the Retired Teachers Organization; a past president of the Wyoming Education Association, a life member of the National Education Association, a member of Masonic Lodge No. 43 and the Big Horn Lions Club.
In addition to his widow, he is survived by one son, Donald, Billings, Mont.; one daughter, Mrs. Ladd (Delores) Cochran, Greeley, Colo.; two sisters, Mrs. T. J. Baldwin, Bellingham, Wash, and Mrs. John Hump?, Walla Walla, Wash., three brothers, Reed and Bryce, Waverly, Kan. And G? Texas; and six grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother.

Memorials may be sent to either Ron Daily, First National Bank, or Jim Perry, Big Horn, for the restoration of the Bozeman Trail Blacksmith Shop at Big Horn.
