Son of Roy H & Floy Shoffner Cole
COLE, MR. BEECHER - age 73, of Kokomo, Indiana, formerly of Sharps Chapel, passed away 5:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, 2003, at St. Joseph Hospital, Kokomo, Indiana. He was born in Union County, Tennessee, on September 4, 1929, and was the son of the late Roy and Floy (Shoffner) Cole. He was married May 3, 1950, in Pineville, Ky., to Georgia J. Moore. Beecher was a wonderful husband of 53 years and a loving Dad and a great Pap. He enjoyed his family to the upmost and especially his Grandson who taught him to fish. Preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jackie Cole; sister, Brenda Chittum, and a special father-in-law, Ebb Moore. He was a member of Howard Lodge #93 F&AM. Survivors: wife, Georgia J. Cole; daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lee and David Edwards; grandson, Joel Edwards; mother- in-law, Belle Moore, all of Kokomo, Indiana; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bill and Jo Cole of Luttrell, Bob and Linda Cole of Sharps Chapel; sisters and brothers-in-law, Rose and Bud Browning of Kokomo, Indiana, Ann and George Sherritze of Galveston, Indiana, and several nieces and nephews. Special friends, Damon and Rex Keck, whom he worked for as a mechanic for many years. Funeral services 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Cooke Mortuary Chapel, Rev. Jerry McBee and Rev. Greg Sharp officiating. Interment will follow at Shoffner Cemetery, Sharps Chapel. The family will receive friends 4-8 p.m. Tuesday with a masonic service at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, Cooke Mortuary, Maynardville.
