Lula Moffett Jay Harris was the daughter of Jay Baxter Harris and Ileita Moffett. Her father died in 1890 and her mother in 1892, leaving her an orphan. She was on the 1900 and 1910 censuses, residing with her "adopted" widowed Uncle Julius Shakespeare Harris

His first wife Lula died in 1882. Jay married 2nd to Ileita Mofffett on 26 Sep 1888 and also had a short marriage to her.
