Joseph Sauter Dies at Hospital Here
Joseph Sauter, aged seventy-two years, of 302 Spring street, succumbed at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Good Samaritan hospital. The deceased had been sick for a few days. Death was attributed to complication of ailments.
He was a member of the St. Gertrude's Catholic church, and he affiliated with the St. Gertrude's Beneficial Association. He was a member of the Maennerchor.
Surviving Mr. Sauter are four stepchildren: Mrs. Andrew Mohl, with whom he lived; Frank Henrich, of Reading; Jacob Henrich, of Elizabeth, N.J.; Mrs. Anna Meyers, of Schuylkill Haven. A brother and sister living in Europe also survive.

Joseph Sauter Laid To Rest Here Today
Services for Joseph Sauter, of 302 Spring Street, were held this morning at 8:30 o'clock from the residence of his step-daughter, Mrs. Andrew Mohl. A requiem high mass was performed at 9:00 o'clock in St. Gertrude's Catholic church by the Rev. Phillip Leibich.
Burial was in the St. Gertrude cemetery. Pall bearers were: George Meyers, Michael Kemper, Joseph Schonber, Michael Brunn, Joseph Blum and Adam Groff. P. H. Thompson Sons funeral establishment had charge of details.
