Helen Sullivan, 66, died Tuesday Nov. 4, 2008. Graveside service were Friday Nov. 7, at the Woodson Cemetery with the Rev. Charles West officiating, directed by Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home.
Mrs. Sullivan was born Dec. 5, 1941, in Woodson, to William Ball Hurford and Nita Gardner Hurford. She married Carlton Sullivan March 7, l959, in Throckmorton. She owned and operated the Woodson Grocery Store and was a member of the First Christian Church of Woodson.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.



Survivors include her husband, Carlton Sullivan of Woodson; sons, Rodney Sullivan and wife Pat of Woodson, Gary Sullivan and wife Cheryl of Woodson and Darrell Sullivan of Woodson; sister, Billie Reedy of Alford; brothers, Mike Hurford of Corsicana and Kim Hurford of Breckenridge; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Randy and Richard Sullivan.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to the donors favorite charity and may be left at the funeral home.
