Carlton Sullivan, 76, died Thursday, March 13, 2014 at his residence. Graveside service with Rev. Justin Glover officiating will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at the Woodson Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Melton-Kitchens Funeral Home of Breckenridge.

Richard Carlton Sullivan was born July 26, 1937 in Throckmorton County, Texas to Clarence Sullivan and Vera Allison Sullivan.

He married Helen Hurford on March 7, 1959 in Throckmorton.

He was a farmer and rancher and had been the County Commissioner of Throckmorton County Precinct 3 for 24 years.

He was a Baptist and a US Marine Corps Veteran.

Survivors include sons, Rodney Sullivan and wife, Patricia, Gary Sullivan and wife, Cheryl, and Darrell Sullivan all of Woodson; sisters, Colene Kilgore and husband, Donny of Waco, Linda Kramer of Ozona, and Johnnie Jones and husband, Royce of Woodson; brother, Elgie Ray Smith and wife, Ada of Woodson; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, and two brothers.
