Mrs. Oscar Brown
Mrs. Oscar Brown, 59, of 115 North Glenwood Ave., died Friday morning at Boone County Hospital after a brief illness. She was employed by Lamb Jewelry Store for the last 18 years. Mrs. Brown was a member of Wilkes Blvd. Methodist Church and the Eagles Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband; five sisters, Mrs. Thomas Elliott, Kansas City, Kan., Mrs. Ada Nicholas, Kansas City, Mrs. Ed Aaron, Mrs. John King, both of Leavenworth, Kan., Mrs. W.J. Phillippe, Fulton; two brothers, Estell P. Strawn, 120 Pine Drive, J.A. Strawn, 700 Hunt Rd.; her parents, Mrs. and Mrs. Porter Strawn, 302 North Ninth St.; and several nieces and nephews. Services will be at 3:30 p,m. Sunday at Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wilford Shock, J.V. Lamb, Howard Nichols, Richard Brown, Stanley Owen and Rice Claxton.
