Mildred A. Elliott, 92, of Kansas City, KS, died Friday, June 17, 2005, at Trinity Nursing and Rehab Center. Funeral Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 20, at the Porter Funeral Home, Kansas City, KS. Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to The Salvation Army in her name. Mildred was born March 9, 1913, in Columbia, MO, and had lived most of her life in Kansas City, KS. She was very active in the Democratic Party in WY CO, a precinct committee woman for 20 years, an inactive Deputy Sheriff and worked for the city of Kansas City, KS, for 10 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas J. Elliott; four sisters; and one brother. She is survived by four daughters, Bonnie (Richard) Overton, Merriam, KS, Betty (Ray) Reynolds, Weatherby Lake, MO, Jean (Wayne) Stroud, Overland Park, KS, Karen Kovac, Kansas City, KS; sister, Esther Flaigle and brother, J.A.
