LOGANVILLE, May 13 – Adam Thoman, aged 81 years and 22 days, died yesterday at 12:15 a.m. at the residence of his son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Thoman, Loganville, following a lingering illness due to complications. He was a retired farmer.
He leaves the following children: Mrs. Penrose Gladfelter, York; Harry Thoman, Loganville; Levi C. Thoman, Seven Valleys; Lewis Thoman, York; Mrs. J. M. Bowman, Brewster, Fla.; Grover Thoman, Glen Rock; Roland Thoman, York, and Mrs. Norman Raver, Glen Rock; two brothers, William Thoman, Brodbeck, and Leander Thoman, York; two sisters, Mrs. Martin Snyder and Mrs. Alice Linch, Brodbeck; 31 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the P. O. S. of A. Camp of Jefferson, and was a life-long member of the Lutheran congregation at Stone Church.
The funeral will be held Friday at 2 p.m. (EST), with brief services at the Loganville residence and concluding rites at Stone Church. Interment will be in the church cemetery. The Rev. W. H. Ehrhart, pastor of the Jefferson Lutheran charge, will officiate. Funeral Director C. O. Goodling, of Seven Valleys, is in charge of the funeral.
