"A lifelong Springwater resident, Carrie B. Fisher, age 91, died Tuesday, 3 Oct 1967 at the Livingston County Infirmary, Geneseo. Mrs. Fisher was a charter member of the Wawanta Rebekah Lodge, a charter member of the Springwater Grange with which she was affiliated for the past 56 years, and a member of the Springwater Methodist Church. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Minnie Duffy of Springwater, Mrs. Anne Braun of Naples, Mrs. Sara Sonne of Canandaigua; a sister, Mrs. Marguerite Gross of Naples; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be conducted today at 3 p.m. in the Stanton Funeral Home, Wayland. The Rev. Raymond Horan will officiate. Interment will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Springwater." She fell while walking on the rain-soaked porch of the Springwater home of her daughter, Minnie (Fisher) Duffy, with whom she had resided for several years.
