Survivors: daughters and sons-in-law, Neva Lucille Lynn, Laura Mae and Joyce (Curley) Self, Patsy and Rev. Walter Harold Bivens; sons and daughters-in-law, Howard Shaw, Berlin Akins, Carson and Anna Leetha Akins, Floyd Jr. and Wilma Akins, J.R. and Jo Ann Akins, Clarence and Betty Louise Akins, all of Tellico Plains, 44 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; ten great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by wife, Lottie Shaw Akins; daughter, Mary Neil Akins. Funeral service 2 p.m. Thursday, Biereley-Hale Chapel, Rev. Beecher Miller officiating. Interment Center Cemetery.
