Funeral services for Stanley Floyd Burkett of Blossom were held Friday, 11 Dec at Grant Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Cunningham Cemetery.
He died Wednesday, 9 Dec 1981 at his home.
Mr. Burkett was born in Red river County on 13 Apr 1902, a son of Jay and Nina Rosser Burkett.
He married Carrie [Lucindy] Featherstone at Minter in 1922.
Survivors include his wife; one son, W.R. Burkett of Paris, six daughters, Nina Anderson, and Alma Eudy, both of Cunningham, Bessie Head of Dallas, Robbie Brumley and Nell Head, both of Paris, and Betty Blankinship of Madisonville, Ky.; two sisters, Audrey Runyan of Avery and Lee Audie of Longview; two brothers, Otis Burkett and Clarence Burkett, both of Avery; 34 grandchildren; and 56 great grandchildren.
