Ellis I. Walters, 75, of 5379 Pueblo died at 10:45 a.m. Sunday in West Texas Medical Center after an eight-month illness. Services were to be at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Elmwood Funeral Chapel.
The Rev. Archie Phillips of Northside Baptist Church in Coleman and the Rev. Harold Scarborough of Crescent Heights Baptist Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oplin Cemetery.
Born Nov. 20, 1900, in Coryell County, he lived in Brownwood from 1948 until 1967, when he moved to Abilene. He was a retired construction worker. He married Vernie Brown May 21, 1925. In Burkett, he was a Baptist.
