SYLVIA - Elsie I. Snowbarger, 94, died May 19, 2007, at Mennonite Manor, South Hutchinson.

She was born Oct. 17, 1912, in Bucklin, the daughter of John and Hattie Valentine Banz. A resident of Sylvia for most of her life, she was a homemaker.

She belonged to Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene, Sylvia, serving as a Sunday school teacher.

On Oct. 10, 1935, she married Clarence Snowbarger in Sylvia. He survives.

Other survivors include: four sons, . . . ; a daughter, . . . ; four brothers, . . . ; 13 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers, Harold, Myrle and Floyd Banz; two sisters, Hazel Stewart and Rhea Stevenson; and a grandson.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene, Sylvia. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Minnis Chapel, Stafford. Burial will be in Penwell-Gabel Cemetery and Mausoleum, Hutchinson.

Memorials may be sent to Pleasant Hill Church of the Nazarene or Mennonite Manor, both in care of the funeral home.
