Mr. John V. Herndon was born in Huntsville, Texas to Mrs. Alberta Herndon and Mr. Fred Herndon, September 8, 1924. He departed this life at the age of 39. He was a member of the Baptist Church in Beaumont, Texas. He was also well-known in Huntsville and had many friends. He attended the Sam Houston High School.
He leaves to mourn his passing a mother and father, Mrs. ALberta Herndon and Mr. Fred Herndon, both of Huntsville. Three sisters; Miss Lucy Mae Herndon of Stockton, California, Mrs. Lula M. Johnson of Galveston, and Mrs. Annie E. Harrison of Huntsville; six aunts; Mrs. Minnie Wiley, Mrs. Julia L. Reed, Mrs. Mary Charles, Mrs. Emma York, and Mrs. Rosetta Warrick, all of Huntsville. Mrs. Annie White of New Waverly. Four uncles, Mr. Jim Lacy of Houston, Mr. Edd Lacy of Huntsville, Mr. J. V. Herndon of Los Angeles, California, Mr. Roosevelt Herndon of Galveston, five nieces, five nephews and other relatives and friends.
